ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Colleagues of the NHP Research Community,
On behalf of the NHPRS Board of Directors I am announcing our decision to postpone the 17^th Annual NHP Research Conference and Tradeshow that was scheduled for May 24-27^th, 2020 in Ottawa.

In consideration of the need to mitigate the possible spread of COVID-19 and having undertaken a risk-assessment using the Public Health Guidance on COVID-19 with respect to gatherings (https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/health-professionals/mass-gatherings-risk-assesment.html) we are confident this the best, albeit disappointing, option. If you have already paid conference registration you will be reimbursed and for any other questions related to this postponement please contact us at: nhp.research.society@gmail.com

Although our annual conference has been postponed till 2021 we are still accepting applications for the 2020 John Thor Arnason Research Award which is open to graduate student and post doctoral NHPRS members. The 17^th Annual NHP Research Conference and Tradeshow will be held in Ottawa in 2021 and we are currently investigating the prospect of having an Interim Meeting this fall.
