Membership

REMINDER: Membership is automatic with conference registration if you choose the option during the process. If you will not attend the conference, you can continue here the get your NHPRS Membership.

Membership is open to all individuals, companies and associations who are interested in NHPs and NHP research. As a member of the NHPRS, you will be connected with an international network of NHP researchers, and industry and government stakeholders.

Members are encouraged to participate in the NHPRS Annual General Meeting, held in conjunction with the annual research conference. All membership categories are entitled to vote during the AGM.

Categories include:

  • Group membership: All companies, government agencies or other relevant institutions interested in NHP research. Corporate members are entitled to one vote per corporation and can register three delegates at Regular member rates for the all NHPRS events (such as webinars, workshops and the Annual Conference). One advantage of this type of membership is that different individuals of the same corporation or government agency can be delegated to each NHPRS event according to availability or expertise. This also circumvents the problem of individual memberships when staff turns over.
  • Student/Postdoc:  Individuals interested in NHP research who are currently enrolled at an accredited educational institution.
  • Traditional/health practitioner: Individuals using NHPs in their professional practice (e.g. Indigenous Traditional Knowledge holder, herbalists, naturopaths, nutritionists, Traditional Chinese doctors, physicians, nurses, pharmacists and so on) and interested in NHP research.
  • Regular Members: All individual natural health product (NHP) researchers and other interested parties holding a position in a recognized institution of higher learning, a government agency, or a company.
